...My advert was very wordy. hinting to the shoes being “Well worn”, needing a “Good heeling” and that my feet had been “in & out of them” all day…
I laughed as I finalised the advert, thinking no one would even see it, let alone bid on the things.
Within 1 day I had 8 people “Watching” my items, I also had some really interesting emails, asking questions similar to these;
Do your shoes have a smell?
Have you ever trod on a bug in these shoes?
Can I have pictures of your feet in & out of the shoes?
Have you wore these shoes bare footed?
If I was really tiny would you put me in your shoe & squash me?
With this, after I got over the initial shock of the replies my spirit in people lifted, with respect I did not feel “Weird” or disgusted about these questions, but felt my shoes were going to good use and I was actually helping someone needy, rather than wasting them by throwing them in the bin. (it also gave me a good chuckle in the process)...
Sample Two ...

When tea was made, it was made for the time he got in; he got the most on his plate, but was never happy.
Forks are made to eat your dinner, stab sausages when they are bubbling in the oven to put on your plate; not to hurt your wife after she has made tea for you and your daughters.
Plates are made to serve food on, display slices of bread on to mop up your gravy; not to throw at the wall full of food, after your loving partner has cooked yet another warming, hearty meal.
Is there a pattern here…this is what I thought was the norm…This went on for most of my childhood, into my teens and up to him finally leaving for the last time, when I was about 15 years old, my sister would have been 7 years old...
